Family favorite chocolate cake!
Sift together:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
Add:
1/3 cup applesauce
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa mixed with 1/2 cup hot water
1 cup milk
Beat two minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Add 2 eggs and beat two more minutes, scraping sides of bowl often. Pour batter into sprayed 9x13 pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350.
