Confectioner's Sugar Frosting



2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 cups confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)
1 tsp. vanilla
milk as needed (start with 1 milk cap, add 1 when needed and stir after every addition!)

Melt butter and shortening over very low heat. Add to powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make it of spreading consistency.

Variations:
Chocolate: Add 1 or 2 tsp. cocoa

Orange or Lemon: Add grated orange or lemon rinds.

Orange: In place of milk, use canned orange juice.
